Due to a malfunctioning server, work was increasingly coming to a halt. "Just imagine what that costs on a Tuesday or Thursday with 45 employees in the office," says Chiel Braakhuis. He experienced it firsthand and therefore decided to switch to Axelio.
It has been two years now, but Chiel remembers it as if it were yesterday. "We had been working with a fixed ICT partner for years. At some point, our server needed to be replaced. It was originally designed for 20 employees, while we now have 45." At our request, they arranged for a replacement. Everything went wrong. The server no longer fit in the patch cabinet. The configuration turned out to be more expensive than initially agreed. And ultimately, we were switched to the new server overnight, while only half of the workstations were set up. Meanwhile, the project manager turned out to be poorly reachable.
For Chiel, it was an eyesore. "To do our work, we are dependent on well-functioning ICT. I can't have people standing at my desk every time because they can't access the network, their computer isn't working, or the server is unreachable." A solution took weeks to materialize. Therefore, Chiel decided to seek a second opinion from Axelio. "They came by immediately, took an inventory, provided a short and concise recommendation, and set up the server neatly. All the troubles were solved at once."
What Chiel especially appreciates is Axelio's no-nonsense approach. "They sit next to you and get started. They are close to you. Just as we are close to our clients because we want to mean as much as possible for them. You communicate directly with the technicians when it's convenient, and they are easily reachable. When you call, they often solve a problem in the same phone call. Moreover, they speak our language. I find that important because we are not computer experts; we are an accounting firm, and we want to be relieved of these concerns. Our ICT just needs to function."

"During the initial conversation, it became clear that Axelio often works for companies in the agricultural sector. As a result, they are familiar with the software packages for that sector, which we also use. Besides SMEs, we have many agricultural companies as clients. That immediately created a connection."
The only thing that caused issues during the entire process was the transfer of all information from the old ICT partner to Axelio. Chiel: "That was still a journey of discovery, I understood, but we had little trouble with that. Within a few weeks, Axelio had everything running exactly as we had agreed beforehand. Meanwhile, they ensured that everyone here in the office could continue with the essential programs. Minox, Caseware, Nmbrs, Alure, and Agrovision, for example."
Kobra Accountants has been using Microsoft 365 for years. That remained the case, now only in combination with the Modern Workplace, a complete set of productivity and communication apps. This allows team members to collaborate securely and efficiently from any desired location. "We can access client data anywhere and anytime," Chiel explains. But that is not the only convenience of the new system. "Axelio manages everything remotely. So we no longer have to worry about making backups and updating software."
The server was tailored for Kobra Accountants. Chiel explains why having a dedicated server is important for them: "We work with a number of very specific packages. For example, the report generator Caseware, which we use to process annual accounts. That software runs poorly in a cloud environment." He adds: "Additionally, we have several packages that do run in the cloud. For payroll, income tax, and sales tax, for example. Everything is now clearly organized on our desktop, and they took care of that."

In addition to ease of work, Axelio provided more independence in terms of ICT. "Two of our employees can log in as administrators to perform basic tasks, such as registering a new employee or having a software vendor perform an update. Axelio guided them by sitting next to them and explaining how it works. With the previous company we worked with, we always had to create a ticket in such cases and wait for a response before we could proceed. This works much easier. We have truly come from hell to heaven."
