Control over roles and permissions in Dynamics 365 F&O

The standard Microsoft roles in F&O are often not suitable for companies, as they are tailored to large companies and the American market. Additionally, the Microsoft roles often include more functionality than necessary, resulting in unnecessarily high licensing costs. Many companies therefore want customized roles. Creating these is a time-consuming task.

In response to the question of what the new way of working has brought to Van Ommen, Zandbergen answers: 'A clear set of roles, each equipped with the necessary rights. Set up with the help of the key user(s) of that department. Any expansion (or restriction) of authorizations can thus be applied very concretely and specifically.' A result we are pleased with, as it fits perfectly with the course we want to steer with Axelio in this area.'

In line with this, we will further assist Van Ommen with other components within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. 'Together with Mprise, we will compile a list of topics and items that we can utilize even better within our ERP system. We will also review our processes. In this way, we will utilize standard functionalities that we do not yet know and our processes will become even more efficient and robust.'
