
Capriole, a family business with 75 employees, modernized its work order process with Spatio. Where field service employees used to receive their schedules manually, Spatio now provides a digital, streamlined approach.
"At the end of 2011, we decided to look for an iPhone application to automate our field service that seamlessly integrated with our own ERP system," says Marco Boon, Head of Technical Services at Capriole. "We wanted our field service to only need to take one device, so the tool had to work specifically on an iPhone even without an internet connection, as all our employees have an iPhone, and it also needed to fully integrate with the IT solutions that were already in place. It was really about a supplement that would allow us to automate the last manual tasks, such as recording worked hours, driven kilometers, consumed materials, etc. And of course, directly obtaining an electronic signature from the customer."
"We found five suitable parties, but Axelio, formerly Newminds, was the most suitable for us. Their application Spatio was already finished and very flexible, just as flexible as the Axelio team. In addition to the standard features already in Spatio, they listened well to our wishes. We have short lines of communication with Axelio and together we developed the ability to record result codes and dosages from customers. The latter is very important in the coffee world, but the result codes are also important for us. Depending on which code the field service employee uses, our ERP system can initiate subsequent steps."

"In the Netherlands, about 75 people work at Capriole, of which 20 work in the field service. Before the implementation of Spatio, they received their work orders every morning, which they took with them. That is all in the past. The work orders are now in Spatio. The field service employee sees exactly where he needs to go every morning, what the problem is, and which parts he may need. If he doesn't have a part in his van, we ensure that it is delivered to the colleague with a night transport before departure. Our field service no longer needs to go to the office daily for this. This saves a lot of travel time and travel costs."
"Everything the field service needs is in the Spatio app. The route to the customer, the maintenance history, even inventory management. Moreover; our field service can even see in Spatio where a specific part is located in his van, down to the drawer and compartment accurately. All these things allow us to work more efficiently and thus save a lot of time and money. When the field service employee arrives at the customer, the trip is first recorded, the work is carried out, and the customer signs the work order in the Spatio app. Photos can be attached if necessary. Various checklists are filled out, and then everything automatically goes into our ERP system. No more written work orders, no more tracking separate kilometers, everything is digital."


"We work much more efficiently. The field service always has the latest version of the app on their phone, as it is automatically updated from the Apple app store. What is also nice is that we can set which features we want to have on or off ourselves. If another user of Spatio has something new developed by Axelio, Axelio always informs us. We can then see if this is also interesting for us. Axelio really thinks along with us and continues to develop Spatio, allowing us to keep working with Spatio for a long time."
