I'm gaining knowledge as well as sharing it

What starts as a part-time job grows into a career full of depth, development, and impact. Hylke has become an integral part of the Mprise team. He is a consultant and trainer, working daily on challenging issues at the intersection of business and Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. But his story doesn't begin with a neatly laid-out plan: it starts with curiosity.

"I thought I knew AX. Until I started here."

When Hylke started at Mprise, he was given the opportunity to really dive into the software. He seized that chance with both hands. "I thought I knew AX," he says, "but only when I started here did I discover how deep you can actually go. I dove into the system like a monk." Not because he had to, but because he wanted to understand it. Not superficially, but down to the smallest processes. That characterizes Hylke. His strength lies in the combination of curiosity and perseverance. Spending hours digging into what happens under the hood, talking to users, dissecting customer inquiries, and continuing until everything is right. "I wanted to understand the system because only then can I give good advice. Otherwise, I can't do my job with conviction."

From consultant to trainer

In addition to consultancy, Hylke also provides training. Not instead of, but as a complement to his work. Because at Mprise, training is not separate from the practice in which F&O is used. "What I see in practice with clients, I incorporate into my training. And conversely, I learn from the questions that participants ask," he explains. "This way, you not only build knowledge but also context. And that is essential." For Hylke, expertise is not just about knowing how something works, but especially about understanding why it works. That's why he is now also actively involved in second opinions and improvement scans. Clients often come with questions like: Is this really the best solution? That's when Hylke shines the most.

Sharing knowledge as second nature

What sets Hylke apart is his drive to not only acquire knowledge but also to share it. "I have been in the field for over 15 years. During that time, others have shared their knowledge with me: in blogs, podcasts, training. Now it's my turn to give something back." You can see that conviction in how he guides colleagues, develops training, and helps clients truly understand the system. Additionally, Hylke shares his F&O knowledge through LinkedIn or webinars, enabling many people to use the application better. For this effort, he has received the MVP (Most Valuable Professional) award from Microsoft for three consecutive years since 2023, and LinkedIn named him 'Top Voice ERP' in 2024. For him, the work is successful when the client can continue on their own. "We don't want to be a partner that has to answer the same question again in a year. We want to empower companies so they can do it themselves."

Room to grow

What Hylke appreciates about working at Mprise? The space. For content, for development, for personal choices. "I am given the time and trust to do my job well. There is no standard path. You create your own route." It is that autonomy, combined with a strong knowledge-oriented culture, that makes him feel at home at Mprise.

His story shows that you don't need a standard career path to become an expert. What you do need is curiosity, dedication, and an environment that challenges you to keep learning. Exactly what Hylke has found at Mprise and what he is now passing on.
